I usually don’t write reviews, but have been so blown away, I just had to let the world know what I thought about Cedar West Designs! Due to the nature of my job in real estate and property rentals, I’ve had to work with many different vendors and contractors over the past several years. And I have to say Cedar West has shown themselves to be the “Crème of the Crop.” I had, what I thought to be, a large job and gave them loose ideas of what I wanted to have and see, leaving them to come up with the design and layout of most of it. I wanted to see what they can do with a blank canvas and some freedom, and boy they didn’t disappoint!
Tony and Heather really do make an awesome team. Heather seems to be the hardscaping artist, while Tony is the landscaping artist. They complement each other so well! I also appreciated the communication throughout the project, which is something I wish more vendors and contractors understood and did. I worked with Tony on most of the job, and he would text and/or call me every day to let me know the plan for that day and the next. There was never a moment I felt in the dark as to what was going on and when. Heather (And Christy as well!) were great with the paperwork and working with me on the quotes, and all my questions and concerns going in. Truly, they are both amazing professionals that I look forward to working with again on my other real estate ventures! I can’t thank you both enough and so glad I took the recommendation I was given. Cedar West Designs, LLC is a family-owned landscaping and custom concrete business providing outdoor spaces with quality craftsmanship. They can literally transform your outdoor space. Owners Tony and Heather started their company in 2019, motivated by their shared passion for landscaping.
Before launching Cedar West Designs, Tony and
Heather spent over six years running landscaping crews, honing their skills and attending seminars to develop their expertise. Their eye for detail and commitment to quality have been the foundation of their success.
"A great landscaper isn’t just physically fit for the
demands of the job," Tony explains. "It's also about professionalism, respect, and high standards." To
uphold this, their employees wear uniforms, maintain a positive demeanor and adhere to a strict no smoking,
no foul-language policy on job sites.
Like any business, Cedar West Designs faces
challenges especially when it comes to balancing the personalities of both employees and customers. The key, they say, is leading by example and ensuring every interaction reflects their values.
Their team fluctuates with the seasons, ranging from
one to five employees. One of their most valuable team members is Christy, Heather’s mother and Tony’s
mother-in-law, who serves as the Executive Administrative Assistant. Christy is the “secret weapon” behind the business, handling the administrative
side and keeping operations running smoothly.
Cedar West Designs specializes in custom concrete
work and landscaping, including new sprinkler and drip line installations, however they do not offer seasonal maintenance. Looking ahead the company plans to expand its offerings, incorporating paver designs, fire
pits, and water features to further enhance outdoor spaces.
"We love the challenge of serving the community we grew up in," Heather shares. "We’re always open to new ideas from our customers.”
As a satisfied customer of Cedar West Designs, I can personally attest to the accuracy of everything in the article. Last fall, they transformed an overgrown, unruly patch of bushes into a beautifully designed low maintenance space.
